I worry not only about loss of land but also because of its impact on our schools...

This large a development should, at the very least, include payment to the town to cover the cost of educating the kids that will move into this complex. In a state I once lived, developers were required to build schools if they put in more than a certain number of units. Something like that might be in order here.

I am for growth in a community (that can handle the additional infrastructure and resources) our town seams to be ready to burst at the seams. I do not think our town can handle such a development. Taxes are high enough!!!

I'm all for affordable housing, but, we have many issues to consider including infrastructure, traffic, increase in student population. Need to make sure this project is done responsibly and the town can handle the increase.

How are we going to school/house potential increase in numbers of children this project potentiates? So we build a new school only to have that one bust at the seems with a surge this project could bring. What about our already taxed water supply and what is the proposed sewerage for this site? Not to mention our already short staffed police department... there was a study done awhile ago that shows the dept is short with the given poplulation as it stands now ... I'm sure new studies would include fire and EMS as well.

Scale, proportion and suitable materials are the hallmarks of good architecture. This development is huge, unattractive and inappropriate to the site and to the town. Yes, 40B is the law of the land but the surrounding towns would never approve something like this. Why does Ipswich always carry the burden?

We don't need anything like this. Ipswich already has taxes that are to high. We have an override every year because the schools are too small. This used to be a working persons town. Ipswich is fast becoming a bedroom community.

This project is too big for our community. It will negatively impact the town's resources which are already stretched and will move us away from the goals we created to preserve the small-town feel we outlined in the Ipswich bylaws.

I am only just getting up to speed on this proposal, but it seems like something that needs a great deal more consideration than it has so far been given. The environmental and resource issues alone must be quite substantial, and I can't imagine that there has been time to do all the necessary due diligence.
It will stress our already stressed resources.
