How unscholarly unbecoming and racist is the unwarranted attack on Dorothy Kim.

It is important to understand that, in Medieval Studies, only Dorothy Kim should be allowed to make unfounded statements, dox people, publish personal attacks, malign other academics, and punch down. Anyone who does not accept this is extremely racist

Tone policing is a tool for maintaining white power. I'm disappointed but not surprised to see a tenured white woman in academia attack an untenured woman academic of color in this way.

Professor Brown,
You repeatedly profess to the world that you are a pious Christian, and, that you are devoted to the Cult of Mary, which, in my opinion, you glamorize. I suggest you have a look at the huge body of scholarship on medieval Marian anti-Judaism and anti-Semitism. And, please explain to the world what is Christian about your persecution of Dr. Kim --- and whether Mary approves.

Racist trolling in academia is unspeakably horrific and must be put to an immediate end. I support this Professor and the diverse truth of history. History is not homogenous, only efforts to suppress and control narratives are.

RFB's behavior is racist and reprehensible. She, and any who support her, are a blot on our profession as a whole, and medieval studies more specifically.

Unacceptable. Academics always disagree -- it's part of what we do. But we must disagree with respect and intelligence.
