This petition is to lobby the IOM Department of Infrastructure airport bosses to put more pressure on the airlines to improve links between the IOM and Belfast. Until Eastern Airways stepped in after CityWing collapsed, there were up to four flights a day to Belfast with weekend flights at convenient times allowing passengers to get to and from Belfast for the weekend. Now with just one midday flight on week days, a trip to / from Belfast to see family or weekend breaks is now impossible, meaning many people either travelling less to Belfast or not travelling at all. Those that work now have to take holiday to get to / from Belfast with no weekend or early evening flights available. The schedule needs drastic improvements.

I am a student at Queens University Belfast and I can't go home for the weekend without taking 4 flights, its expensive and time consuming.
The lack of flights now is ridiculous and now having to fly via Manchester adds unnecessary travel time. How can an airline justify £1,521 for 2 adults and 1 child to Belfast in December??
We're in desperate need to keep travel options open for not only islanders but for those who wish to visit and spend money while they're here! Very shortsighted to reduce flights.
With no weekend flights I have to travel on a Monday arriving after midday and return on a Friday mid morning. Visiting family in Belfast has been reduced to three full days in the week. It is such a poor service for such a busy route.
Flight times arent user friendly and more flights need to be added especially over the weekends for families to be able to travel home for holiday especially Christmas.
This is an essential route to the IOM
I am fed up of the island being held to ransom and left out at sea by all transport providers. We need viable services from all

Travelling to Belfast is almost impossible for a weekend to see the family, with the steam packet not running for 6 months it makes the situation worse. I don’t understand how Flybe and EasyJet can fly regularly over the IOM on the way too and from Belfast and not make a stop, Flybe used to. We need a decent airline with reasonable prices.
