I lived in Loftus all my life and it saddens me to see what it has become. When you look at the investment other parts of East Cleveland gets, Loftus gets well behind.
It's about time RCBC realised that he Council Tax payers in Loftus deserve investment in there town too

Loftus was such a great place to grow up. Such a shame watching it deteriorate over the last twenty years. I still love driving through, home is where the heart is!

The original plan back in 1973 was for Loftus to join with Whitby to form a separate council, and not Redcar or "Langbarugh", it was once a lovely town, but thoroughly neglected by Redcar & Cleveland and by Langbarugh.

This area needs the investment badly it will bring it to the for and will bring investment and much needed new businesses like the recently opened fish shop that looks great and hopefully the rest of the high street can get some help.

To think Loftus used to have 2 cinemas & 3 butchers plus lots of other things.
It's downfall has always been lack of parking and lack of funding - time to stop throwing all the money Redcars way because that isn't working and show some love to Loftus and the Surrounding Villages.

I habe lived in Loftus all of my life. This is a lovely little town which has been forgotten about. We desperately need to help this high street thrive again.
