It was his choice to drink and get behind the wheel and unfortunately kill two innocent people!! If he had hit a bike or a person just walking but not Amish I bet charges would have been made!! Both DA's should be a shamed of the self, I pray that something like this never happens to someone in their families!!

Drunk driving that causes fatalities of "vulnerable drivers" on Wisconsin roads should be prosecuted. The legislature should also consider legislation to better protect cyclists, buggies, bikers and others from drunk drivers.

A family has been destroyed, lives have been lost due to alcohol and pure selfishness. How is this not a crime? Make him pay!

Amish deserve justice as well as all people . This is awful to think that if he hit a car he would have been charged with homicide .

I don't care if visibility played a factor or not in this case the FACT of the matter is that this man decided that his "right" to drink and then get behind the wheel was more important then someone's life. He consciously chose to get behind the wheel and drive drunk and he now needs to pay for that choice and be locked up for MURDERING these two individuals.

I'm absolutely outraged at how little the lives of these two human beings mean in our "justice" system. I don't care how many times they reenacted the scene of the crash, if they were black, white, or brown, or if they payed taxes. The fact is 2 people died because some ignorant idiot was DRUNK. Their lives should not be minimized under any circumstances of this caliber simply because of money or lack of empathy. My heart goes out to this family, it's traumatic enough to lose a loved one, let alone by the hands of some dumbass that basically gets a free pass to do it again.

A child died. A trial should happen. It shouldn't be decided by 1 man.

Should have been charged....what would he have done if it was some of his family??The Amish should be treated with respect in this situation.. The last driver that hit a buggy and killed an infant Amish child was not drinking and got sentence to a jail term..Not fair in this situation.. Time to have the D.A.recalled and out of office because I believe he don't like the Amish

I firmly believe criminal charges should be filed in this case; to be decided by a jury of his peers.
