We the citizens of Hendersonville are formally calling for a full investigation of Mayor Scott Foster for possible ethics violations and possible criminal conduct.
Seeing this kind of movement confirms that my frustration is shared by so many of you. It is exhausting to keep pushing against a blank wall but knowing I am not alone makes the work possible. We are finally forcing them to look at what has been ignored.

We’ve heard the Randy Hoffman recordings. We’ve watched the exposes and heard the mayor admit to taking "CONsulting fees" from developers. Public records also show abuse of our tax dollars through the US Conference of Mayors trips. We’ve heard the mayor publically admit to taking his girlfriend on a trip to AZ calling it “training” and charging the citizens for his personal benefit. Public records show even more abuses. We are aware of the usurpation of Board powers under this administration. Thus, I kindly ask that the Board request a full investigation from the TBI to examine these matters and others stemming from 2004 to current date. Thank you.

This matter truly needs to be investigated. When I was serving my county on the County Commission we had a similar situation to arise. Many of the commissioners would not agree to the investigation. However, I said and always believed it was an opportunity for the accused to clear his name. I was one of the first ones to sign on. I didn't want the official to be guilty as personally I liked him and thought of him as a friend. The FBI was contacted. The official was found guilty and went to prison. There is much more to the story and it is something that lives in my heart and I know I did the right thing for the people that I represented.

City officials need to be held accountable for their actions. The acceptable society that we have become is never going to change anything. We all want to complain but no one wants to do anything about it

If the mayor didn't do anything wrong, a investigation will clear him. For the sake of our City's reputation, investigate and either clear him or prosecute him. We need to put all of the bad publicity behind us. Stealing is stealing, whether it is $100 or $100,000.
