Teaching council ensures professionalism for children of school going age. Please recognise that the early years educators need to be recognised in the same capacity. If woman are to work their most cherished thing need to be minded by professionals BEFORE THEY GO TO SCHOOL. Recognise and pay these people!

Childcare is in a crisis, staff are exiting the sector at a rate we cannot keep up with. Why pump money into creating more places for children when there are no staff to look after these children!! Listen to us, the people on the ground, the childcare sector directly. We need the support now.

The sector is in crisis and investment is essential to sustain services. Early years professionals deserve respect for the vital jobs they do for the children who are the future of this country. They are entitled to earn a living wage !

It is an absolute disgrace the way the sector is under funded, unappreciated and controlled by so many different government bodies who do not sing of the same hymn sheet in any of their decision making. When inspecting inspectors should look at the children and how happy and content they are look at staff how professional and passionate they are about their job....dont look at the box to be ticked on a piece of paper and bring in ur own judgement of something unrealistic that u think shud be implemented. We shud all have the same focus in mind and that is the child and their well being. We dont need folders upon folders of needless paper work and tick box exercise to deliver quality care. Over the years with all the changes been brought in it's making staff focus more on paper work than on the children in their care. Inspectors are only out following orders but those at the top have no idea how to determine quality care if they did they wud open their mind instead of their mouth and show a bit more respect and appreciation for the sector.
