I support this vital campaign due to the fact that many children in our society continue to live in abject poverty.. Food banks have become the norm, we as a society should not accept this, the Gov have the finances, they must be pressurized into helping families who cannot access internet. This is vital for the education and future of children within our society.. we have a lot to answer for especially in voting in the 2 main parties who agreed to Welfare Reform.

This pandemic has shed a light on the glaring inequalities that exist in our society. Many young people are denied the fundamental human right of education as well as connection with friends, teachers, family, youth workers etc. Internet access is a must in this day and age for all!

I raised the isolation and need for rural broadband with Stormont Minister Poots a few weeks ago. He and minister Dodds need to do more.

I teach music online and sometimes I have to record and send music and it’s virtually impossible to send anything through the internet because our broadband signal is so weak where we are. Most things revolve around the internet these days and in the current situation when people have to stay at home. It is really frustrating to try to steam, download or upload anything.

Our internet connection is atrocious. I am trying to teach my class online and my Husband tries to teach music online and on many occasions we have to give up as the internet is so week.

We live in a rural setting. Iv lived at this address 6 years. And have been complaining as 6 years with the service only getting worse. Homeschooling as hard as it is, is made worse by slow connections and dropping out and restarting everything again.
