This needs sorting quickly as impacting sporting calendar ; especially as the government is spending money on visiting the UK to see how to to improve tourism. Have better transport links so tourists can get here.

The inter island service with cars has to happen. Moving from Guernsey to Jersey away from my family was a big step but knowing I can hop on the boat with the car has been a blessing. Now looking like it’s going to cost more and only being able to go on foot will be a nightmare. Motorsport and sport in general brings so much tourism to both islands and looking at it now this could be a huge loss. This needs to get sorted asap.

the lack of a suitable service impacts motoring organisations (e.g. Guernsey Old Car Club), hill climbs, future Guernsey Rallies, equestrian events, canine events, and all the close relationships these exchanges have engendered over the years ads well as inter-island trade and commercial arrangements

Time they got their acts
together. What's the point of once a week ferry on a Wednesday?
