If the location does not meet the criteria for a pelian crossing,get OMBC to view the zebra crossing on Manchester Road Mossley.The beacons have been surrounded by bright flashing LEDs inside a shroud.It has greatly increased the conspicuity of the beacons and could offer a solution at Shaw.

i was told by the councillor attending that because the electric connection is already there for the belisha beacons that it could cost as little as £10,000 for a crossing

therehave been accidents on that crossing going back numbers of years and a friend of ours had a motorbike accident in appaoximately1989 which was very serious so there is every reason for a safer crossing
