Install a Pelican Crossing on Milnrow Road Shaw, in place of the Zebra Crossing

A zebra crossing is badly needed here. The configuration of the 5 roads that join at this point needs looking into.

i used to cross this road to take my sone to nursery its always been dangerous most cars don't stop

I endorse Beverley's comments about the crossing entirely. I too on numerous occasions have begun to walk across because traffic has stopped on my side only to find traffic on the other side continues to fly through even though I must plainly be seen standing still in the middle of the crossing.

I don't know why the council have been dragging their feet over this matter, action is long overdue.

At last, someone else with bit of savvy. The only thing u got wrong is ( Oldham council need to act) no no no, these so called drivers are braking the law time & time again. All you people out there get onto police to do something. It's a police matter & police responsibility that the law is upheld.

I've had several near missses on that crossing where cars stop and you start to cross but the idiots coming the other way don't!!! How some people have licenses is beyond me - standard of driving is appalling. Oldham council need to act NOW!!!!!

No need for talks and discussions, respect the life of this young girl who tragically lost her life and listen to the majority, just build a pelican crossing now.

Have been reading most of these messages over the last few days & 9/10 have got it so so wrong. IT'S the council IT'S the CROSSING, one person even blaming a bush!!! Before you make a comet on wat you think is the problem GO to any zebra crossing & cross a few times stand about a short while & observe . Then the truth will playout in front of you....drivers who fail to see you, drivers who think they have right of way, drivers who don't give a f--k, (understand the law of the highways) Drivers on approach to any crossing MUST by law slow & prepare to stop if anyone's near or on the CROSSING. The fact is & I experience this each time I use one, MOST drivers just fail to stop,THIS is where the problem is. DON'T just read this & pretend I am wrong. Go out with ya camera phones & back me up... fed up with people blaming everyone else but the car drivers.....

Oldham council need to instal a Puffin Crossing as well as speed management interventions (speed cameras on both traffic direction approaches)

this crossing is not safe at all, as we can see many accidents have been prone here! Discusting!!

Council needs to install pelican signal crossing ASAP, forget saving money save lives.

This crossing is clearly unsafe and it would be beyond negligent to not make a change now.

We as a community need to act Asap.. Install a pelican crossing ..
