Oldham MBC traffic planning is appalling. There are numerous sites where road marking have almost disappeared with obvious potential for accidents. In this case the crossing needs TRAFFIC LIGHTS!.
When are the council going to learn? A pelican crossing is need here immediately, how many lives are going to be lost or injured?

The traffic coming through Shaw is horrendous at any time of day. Especially the heavy goods vehicles going to JD Williams and Yodal. There needs to be better safety measures along that entire route. Such as shame and our thoughts are with the family.

I have been saying for years it should have been a pelican crossing. Cant understand why its never been made into one.
We have needed this for many years
Please reconsider your decision. Something needs to be done now. This cannot keep happening!
