Zebra crossings are an out-dated idea in this day and age where cars travel so quickly and there are so many of them. This crossing is especially badly positioned as it in such a busy area with poor visibility. Don't let another family suffer, too many have suffered unnecessarily already

This road is so so dangerous i am a driver myself and hate pulling out onto this road at it is very busy with trucks and buses and normal cars users its about time this area was sorted out how many deaths does it take for oldham council to sit up and do something about it

How many times does it take for the council to fix a problem, what if it was one of your moms or child bet the crossing would get done faster so get off your lasy ass and put a Pelican crossing in betfore some else gets killed

Why it takes another tragedy before action is taken is beyond me. Thoughts are with her family

Have read most messages & most are blaming the council, it's not the crossings it is simply very very poor driving. Get of ya bums people & try & use a crossing & u will understand better. Get somebody to film u. The law says on approach to a crossing u must slow & prepear to stop. See how many people don't. U will b left shaking your head....

Not only should it be a Pelican crossing there should be a 20 mph speed limit 200 yards either side + cameras.
