These young girls was on the crossing when struck, what that tells me is these girls was doing everything right. The crossing is doing it's job. Now that leaves one thing. Poor driving, so poor it's taken a life. Go & stand at any crossing & witness the people time & time again fail to stop when people are waiting or are on the crossing but just can't be boved to stop. I see it day in day out. Please give it a go. Maybe u can film it as when u tell friends they won't believe u until u show them profe...

I have seen near misses at this spot and drivers no longer seem to respect zebra crossings - traffic lights would improve the situation.

The local council should hang their heads in shame. Something should have been done two years ago when another pedestrian lost her life on the very same crossing. Still nothing was done. How many lives are going to be lost here before something is done.

About time this was sorted, its possibly the most dangerous crossing in Manchester.. only a matter of time till another kiddie gets killed...
