Why does it always take terrible tragedies before anything is done to make crossing roads safer

My heart goes out to the poor families of both girls especially so close to christmas. The crossing should have been changed a long time ago after other incidents happened here. It's such a shame it has come to this R.I.P to the poor girl and I hope the other recovers alright. xx.

Disgusting that two little girls have died...a week before xmas is sods law! this crossing has been hazardous for years...last year a 66 year old lady died and her husband lost his sight due to negligence on behalf of Oldham council...stop potting crappy plants and tarmacing brand new roads...the girls families lives are ruined die to your lack of intelligence and money saving ploys!

It should not be necessary to have loss of life before changes are made on our road. When I asked for sleeping policemen outside my house, I was told by OMBC that someone would have to die before they could be laid!!!! There is no price on life, do your duty to your paying citizens!!!
