UT is one of the top public art schools, yet the undergrads don't even have a kiln! Kilns are the ovens used to make ceramic pieces, and they're usually considered a staple in any studio art department. Sign this petition to encourage the UT Art Department to install a kiln on campus for undergrads.

Updates

April 11, 2016

I have been spending my afternoons talking to students who are tired of hauling their clay projects off campus just to find a working oven. Seeing your names on this list gives me the confidence to push harder when I enter the administration building to demand better equipment for our studio.

April 11, 2016

Seeing this level of support for a project that has felt like a personal struggle for so long is overwhelming. Knowing that so many of you value the craft of ceramics as much as I do proves that we deserve better facilities on this campus.
