I am not a mom of an addict and hope to never be, but these situations are heartbreaking and we hear too many bad stories about caregivers in these facilities:( My heart is saddened for those who suffer through this, and hope for no more to have to experience. my prayers to all of you♡

I have shared it on our main page, in the TAM Ohio chapter and on my main page. I hope to help educate more of my friends and family. We can't rid the stigma if we keep hiding in secrecy. I know at least a few of my family and friends will re-share it to their own pages, as well. Most of our health care professionals don't understand this and very few know how to treat addiction, especially dual diagnosis. Our judicial system is, for the most part, very uneducated. We must commit ourselves to educating our friends, our families...and strangers. Our children are at risk. We can't fail them.

There needs to be more education with law enforcement about the cause of addiction!!! It's a discease that affects entire families. You wouldn't treat a cancer patient like scum, don't treat an addict like scum either. It's an illness!!!!!!!!

We need more facilities to treat the mentally ill in a loving way.
