Listen to the people who live in the area and experience the flooding, instead of thinking about profits from new housing developments that are not needed.

No more new housing developments in Broughton Astley that have proven historical flooding

Broughton Astley has been overdeveloped. The infrastructure cannot cope as it is. Frolesworth Road is the worst possible place for further housing. It has always flooded, becoming worse over the years. The drains and sewers cannot cope. Road-wise, the crossroads at the Bull/War memorial are already hazardous and congestion in the village at peak times is a nightmare. The consequences of building on Frolesworth Road are unthinkable.

As flooded roads are already now happening on a regular basis in the village after heavy rain further development is irresponsible.

Look at all the new builds in Broughton over the past 5 years that are now complaining about their property flooding... And they want to build more? We can't cope with what we have got now!

The authorities care too much for pointless housing targets, & not enough for the impact of such ludicrous schemes on already over-congested communities.

The village has hundreds of houses already for sale ,many affordable, many have been on the market for a long time .We do not need more to this already overstretched VILLAGE .We moved here 40years ago and chose to live within a VILLAGE community not a Town /city .We love the countryside and wildlife around us and are very disappointed that all of this has to be destroyed .We have major concerns about the flooding that we already live with on our lane ,this will only exacerbate the situation. We also have major concerns about the impact of increased vehicles on an already busy road structure and safety of pedestrians ,Not to mention the environmental impact all of this will have on our health . Leicestershire has already got the highest number of people with asthma in our country .This is way beyond acceptable and we are strongly against the Frolsworth rd development .

Flooding on frolesworth road is already bad so adding hundreds of extra houses and lots more non permeable floor surfaces will seriously affect runoff and increase floods into people's houses and gardens in this area, it really is unacceptable.

I totally agree, I had to go through one of the flooded roads on frolesworth road and it was almost impossible. Houses are being flooded regularly which is soul destroying for them and adding hundreds more houses will totally exacerbate this misery.
