Infrastructure First, Broughton Astley Village

I have lived in Broughton Astley for 30 years and over that time it has had many new housing developments. Although I am conscious of the need for good quality houses for young families it is often unaffordable housing that is built. Traffic is now a growing problem and the demand on GP and schools. Broughton Astley is a village and needs to preserve its village status and feel.

Enough is enough,we cannot sustain more housing without improving infrastructure.

The village floods too much as it is now we do not need to put anymore concrete down on the floor for housing the water has nowhere to go as it is

Lived in the village 14+yrs, and got flooded for the first time last year after 2 new building sites close by. Now I'm on edge every time it rains, and they still want to add to one of the sites.

Please do not build more houses and allow water into the brook. This is the third year in a row where the water has been dangerously close to flooding our home and we raised the level of the garden 2 years ago.

The village just cannot cope with any more traffic along that stretch of road let alone the ongoing flooding issues we now have thanks to the recent new builds

Keep our villages rual and green. This decimation of our open green and rual spaces are become a joke, and the impact on continued and further flooding will only get worse

If extra housing is to be built, then the correct infrastructure should be in place first and not to the detriment of the existing buildings

Ridiculous they're even building. We want to keep our homely village not live in a town of traffic and floods :(

I object to all the building in Frolesworth Road,I saw the plans and was told that the new estate waste would connect to the exsisting main sewer at the bottom of Frolesworth Road. It can’t cope now with rainwater , let alone extra sewage. Heaven forbid what could end up in the flood water.

Lived in Broughton astley for many years and everyyear there was flooding on frolesworth road. More houses will increase the flooding so the houses should not be built.

My house is adjacent to the brook, every winter, the water the water level becomes higher. This month it rose to within a foot of my house.
