I have a property nearby luckily not in flood area but how can the proposed development on Frolesworth Road go ahead - have the Planners no idea of building on this land with all the flooding in this area.

Not only does Broughton Astley need flood defences it also need other infrastructure such as another doctors before any more houses are built.

The current proposal will be detrimental to the village for several reasons and other options have been put forward by the parish coucil

Our drive and garden is yet again underwater. The brook is like a raging torrent and our boundaries and fences are being damage on a regular basis. Access into the property from Church Close this morning by carers was impossible. The drain our drive was bubbling yet again despite Severn Trent’s works to repair broken drains, which they knew about years ago.

Far to many houses in village already and flooding is bad enough now as is amount of traffic going through as well.

The village struggles on all fronts already, not just with flooding, but schooling & Doctors / Chemist can't cope even though they say they can. The crossroads at the Bull will be a nightmare & an accident waiting to happen. Insufficient thought put into this project but I assume sweeteners have already been dispatched.

Well it’s a shame I can’t add photos to this post, to show the floods the raw sewage coming out of storm drains, on the fields in Sutton Elms, so HDC councillors can see in real time, instead of relying on computer generated predictions, which will not predict what happens after the proposed development in Broughton Astley. We the people who live here have the right to live in peace, without having to worry about cleaning up the aftermath of flooding you have been warned about numerous times. When we get flooded with run off water and sewerage who’s going to clean it up not the developer not the builder, not the council. Stop this development.
