I remember when the drains were dredged regularly, and the leaves swept up, but do not see any of these now. Councils will say that the cost is too much, but is it to save our villages.

All the flooding that's going on is not entirely down to the recent rainfall. We've had wet winters in the past and nothing like the flooding we're getting now. The authorities need to start thinking of the residents and not the building companies profits.

Our village has been repeatedly cut off by floods and now they are building 100's more houses. Flood defences first !!!

Hours and hours of sewage discharges, houses routinely flooded. Broughton Astley it is simply cannot cope. No more houses.

Additional housing with access from Frolesworth Road will create huge traffic problems at the Bull cross roads particularly at rush hours. There is insufficient room to increase the number of traffic lanes at the junction and what is already a problem would become much worse. Add the that the regular flooding of Frolesworth Road with the road being closed would mean high traffic levels needing to divert through the narrow roads of Dunton Bassett where parked vehicles would seriously delay movement and create a safety hazard

It should not regularly be such an issue before houses are already allocated. Such a problem should be dealt with BEFORE any more housing is planned.

to many house going up , we don't need any more , get the city and the county to sort out there problems as there is so many empty house all around that they can use to re house people and stop building to do this
