Infrastructure needed before more houses.

This awful situation of the drainage system not being fit for purpose and the regularity with which raw sewage is flowing into residents properties must be dealt with before people become ill. The infrastructure must be improved.

Infrastructure first, housing second

The rural communities cannot withstand, environmentally, any further developments. These housing needs should be rectified in the cities - there are plenty of brownfield sites in Leicester and a fair few in Hinckley - why not knock down the old cinema and build there for instance?

As grateful as I am for my lovely home. My garden is awful due to poor infrastructure put in place there's little to no drainage, my garden floods and lawn ruined. The proposal of another 550 homes is just going to cause further issues within the village. Climate change isn't to blame its the continual multiple builds, and lack of drainage adding to the ever growing issues.

So worried about the effects of overdevelopment in Broughton Astley particularly the flooding.

I fully support this petition, infrastructure must come first.

The flooding issues affecting so many properties in the village need to be addressed prior to any further development.

The developers really need better planning to deal with flooding which will only get worse! You can’t build more houses that will in turn affect the flooding of other areas of the village.

There has been so much building in Broughton over the past 20 years, as a driving instructor based in the village I see first hand the devastation the flooding is now causing that never ever happened 20 years ago. More building will undoubtedly add to this despite what the council and developers say

To build 550 houses would be madness, flooding would be horrendous

Flooding of this magnitude needs to be addressed before new housing construction in this area.

Need to stop the constant building unless flood potential is dealt with adequately and appropriately,as currently its not!

As a long term residents this problem has become worse and it is clear that developers do not care about the village just their profits and greed.

The continuous flooding in the village is devastating to all the families, further development will make this worse

Please consider the danger of flooding before you agree housing development can go ahead.
