The village never used to flood to the extent it has in the last few years. So many people and their houses are getting destroyed. Why on earth would more houses being built even be considered?!

Entirely agree - more houses built anywhere in Broughton will simply have a 'knock on effect' further downstream. This is not just a case of stopping individual developments, but an opportunity to reassess the impact on the entire village.

Central government needs to fund these upgrades before forcing new housing.

Improvements definitely need to be carried out , it is so unfair to all those residents who suffer each time we have a heavy rainfall .

When we get persistent rain there are no drivable routes out of the village . More people are suffering flood damage

Regarding the planned building of new homes on Frolesworth having lived there for over 20 years the infrastructure need assessing before any further steps are taken.

The village should not be allowed to grow any larger without serious attention being given to the issues raised by this petition.

Ongoing flooding, poor drainage, and the risk of harmful bacteria impacting local families and wildlife.

Save our village from any more flooding! Broughton Astley cannot cope with any more large scale buildings / housing estates without serious investment into the infrastructure as well as the drainage / sewage systems. The neighbourhood plan supported by the residents reflects this.

Poor infrastructure and drainage causing flooding, foul waste and sewerage to be exposed around the village and housing estates. Illness and exposure to serious bacteria to Children, Residents, Pets and Wildlife at a constant risk

Flooding in the village is disrupting our lives. Say no to further developments until the infrastructure is in place to cope.

Im still waiting to hear from STWA and the EA on what their proposals are for the increase in waste us going to be. We already get regular sewage spills in the brook.

Village is totally unsuitable for further development. Inadequate services, schools, traffic management, high flood risk

Broughton Astley cannot sustain more housing, we do not have the facilities to take care of more people, we are barely coping with the residents we already have.

We have been let down to often on promises of amenities which were supposed to be in place by now specifically a decent Health centre and because of how big we have grown already, more school building

The new houses will massively impact and this really needs to be looked at
