Infrastructure First, Broughton Astley Village

A totally unsuitable place for a housing development.

I object strongly to housing being built along Frolesworth road Broughton Astley it is already very prone to flooding. The road leading in to the village struggles now at peak times to cope with volume of traffic at the crossroads and when Motorways closed due to traffic accidents the detour traffic is a complete nightmare. I keep a pony on the farm next door to where all this building would possibly be I think it would be a travesty to the countryside which is so important. I have a bird app on my phone and have picked up sometimes 10 to 15 different birds of which I certainly don’t see or hear in our back garden ( Blenheim Crescent) even though not that far from there.

This development is so dangerous for the village as any other development broughton Astley has already have their share of houses. Traffic safety so close to the centre of the village and repeated flooding lack of infrastructure

400 house's = over 1000 people, 800 cars, 400 school places, no new doctor's (there full)

Sewage/drainage on Frolesworth Road in need of major upgrade before any further housing projects.

Listen to the villagers who care about their village and not their pockets. We can not cope with more houses especially on Frolesworth Road.

Enough is enough Schools can’t cope Doctors can’t cope Roads can’t cope Drainage can’t cope

It's bad enough in this village, no more without the infrastructure

No more houses in Broughton Astley.

The village amenities can not cope with anymore, doctors, schools plus not much for older kids to do. Extra traffic in the village. But the flooding is the biggest concern. The poor residents on Frolsworth road, let alone wildlife.

The village is overwhelmed as it is , last year every route into the village was flooded and this will be worse with this development

The area has been over developed over the last few years with housing but with no thought on how the housing is affecting the overall area’s ability to cope with flooding

As a resident of Broughton Astley I strongly support improved infrastructure for our village before more housing development is authorised. This is due to current drainage and road systems being unable to cope. The authorities should reassess the whole planning process as it is currently not fit for purpose and the proof is the numerous problems with recently approved housing developments. There currently appears to be no mechanism to learn from past, yet recent, mistakes.

Supporting this because infrastructure must be resolved before further development — for residents now and the next generation.

Having been twice affected by flooding due to overloading and lack of maintenance on the drainage system under LA and STW jurisdiction, I fully back this and that government uses proper modelling and not the rubbish developers put out that is all to benefit their want to build.

The village is at capacity. We simply do not have the infrastructure for buildings planned. Please listen

Planning authority needs to ensure that no permission is granted before infrastructure issues are resolved. It simply doesn’t work if permission is granted with conditions to improve infrastructure either ongoing or afterwards. Everything needs to be in place BEFORE building of houses commence
