Dear Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Selection Committee, I am writing to urge you to consider inducting the iconic R&B group New Edition into the Hall of Fame. As a fan of the genre, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact New Edition has had on music and pop culture. Formed in the 1980s, they were one of the first groups in my generation to popularize the boy band phenomenon, paving the way for future generations of artists. Their influence extends beyond their chart-topping hits and sold-out tours; they have also inspired countless artists and fans with their harmonious vocals, synchronized choreography, and timeless music. With their contributions to R&B and pop music, it is long overdue that New Edition is recognized with a Hall of Fame induction. I believe they are a deserving candidate and I hope you will consider their induction.

40 years in the business, Started the modern boy band craze, responsible for helping hip hop gaining traction by having rappers on the bill when doing different arenas since the rap acts couldn’t get insurance. The fact that this group was able to break off into different acts, sell at least 2 million copies each, come back together and have another successful album. WHO better than New Edition to be selected. They deserve this honor!!
