Maynard Stelzer, also known as Coach Stelzer and Mr. Stelzer to his students, was more than an excellent and dedicated coach and driver's education teacher. He not only taught his students to give their best and to behave with integrity, he did it all with a genuine concern for his students, kindness and a lighthearted sense of humor that was nothing short of contagious. Mr. Stelzer had an extremely positive and encouraging impact on the students of EPCHS. From kindness and encouragement provided to students experiencing difficult times to inspiring at least one student I know of to go on to become a teacher (and probably many more). Mr. Stelzer has already made the Hall of Fame in his students hearts, we now would like to officially recognize his contribution to the students of EPCHS and to the community and share his story to inspire the next generation of teachers.
