Keeping them from contact visits with their family does more harm.

I think video visits should definitely be an option for families a long distance away, but, it shouldn't be the only option. My son is 4 hours away. Due to disabilities I have trouble riding or driving that far. Then have to spend the night. Can only go every 4-6 months. Would be nice to see his face more often.

We want rehabilitation! No further damage. Set them up for success when they are released.

This is a no brainer. Physical contact with families de-institute human beings. Inmates=humanes.

Face to face interaction and human touch is a vital need to our species and essential in rehabilitating our loved ones and keeping them in the necessary mindset to be able to be their best and be outstanding members of society.

I am the wife of an inmate. Me and our children need the contact visits as much as he does.

Visits need to be brought back immediately! This is unfair to those that have done nothing wrong.

The visitation rules stink. I feel the prison is trying to take visitations away. First it was no bathroom, then food on plates or napkins, then no tables, now this disaster.l To top it all off, no hug or kiss at the end of the visit. Crazy. I'm sorry the way I see it, if there is stuff getting in, then someone is not doing their job. My rights have been taken away. We try to use this time to have a little bit of family time. We always held hands and prayed but can't do that anymore. When we come in we get patted down and our stuff is run through a scanner. Apparently the scanner is not very good. Where's the dog? It should be able to sniff out drugs if someone has any on them. Haven't seen it for the last four visits.. The residents need to have a little bit of family normalcy in their life. Punish the people who are doing something instead of punishing the people trying to do the right thing. What does it teach the person doing wrong. NOTHING! It just shows them they can get away with what they did because everyone pays. PLEASE LET US BE FAMILIES AGAIN

Examine the research on the importance of human contact and bonding. Visitation should not be sterile.

Taking away privileges and human contact with family members is dehumanizing. Would like to see rehabilitation programs to prepare inmates for society.

Let families visiting a atmosphere were they may visit and communicate with each other, if they would like to share snack or meal. The policy you have now can break up and tear a family apart

We should be trying to get families back together not pushing them apart. Let's rebuild families.
