They should be able to see their families especially their own children, they are still human no matter what!

I definitely believe family contact is important to both the inmate and the families. It is a positive influence and a crucial part of development to children of the incarcerated. Please take all comments and opinions into consideration before make any harsh decisions.

They don't have much why take that from them

Their still human being no matter what they done! Indiana is such a racist and backwards state You All wouldn’t treat an animal the way you treat a human. Their doing their time why make the family pay also

Inmates should be allowed visits with their families! Please always make this possible for them

The way the system is designed it makes the offender and his family serve time. Plus it makes the offender continue to serve time even after they are released. The system itself needs to be reformed.

Please reconsider returning contact visits. Although, this doesn’t not effect my family at this time. I can see where contact visits are important, especially for some and not all.

We all make mistakes, but those mistakes shouldn't cost proper visitation rights from love one's..

Please allow visiting.

Contact visits are very important not only for families but also for the mental well being of the inmate. I understand the reasoning, but think the old policy was much more personal. Increasing sentences , fines and sanctions for anyone caught smuggling contraband in should be considered instead of eliminating contact visits. We are elderly parents and will probably not live long enough to ever see our son out of the prison system, and come over 1,000 miles away every 6-8 weeks. The contact visit is pretty much all we have to look forward to. Our son is doing very well in the system and has made huge changes in his life and outlook. Please consider bringing the contact visits back. Sincerely requested, Keith Hupp

Human touch is treaputic touch for all! How can you take away a god given right to all man kind!

It is very important to have contact visits espescially for young children to get to know their parents and for human beings to have a hug or touch from another human being.

This is not goals toward lowering the recidivism!
