All centerfield cartridges should be allowed. Even a .223/5.56 is adequate when used properly.

My muzzleloader can shoot about as far as most rifles. I see no problem as long as we keep it to Bolt, Lever and single shot. Maybe lowering bag limits per county on tags. Does each license need 4 deer? If so the herd is too small in your area.

It's only a logical reason that we allow rifles for deer hunting. First off I am allowed to use a Rifle to hunt coyotes from the ground!! Most if not a majority of hunters sit in stands that when shooting towards a deer is always shooting towards the ground even if it is 200 yards away. Allowing high powered rifles allow younger shooters to experience hunting without the high recoil of a shotgun or muzzleloader. This rule change will also bolster Indianas sporting goods needs and thus bolster the economy. Please enact this rule change it will be for the greater of Indiana.

The government would make so much more money legalizing 30 calibers! All I have is 30-30's I cant afford to go out and buy a new shotgun and I would love to go hunting!

We don't need bigger caliber rifles for deer hunting. Those who need these need to become better hunters and marksmen with what is legal now.

IA person in Indiana does not need a high power rifle to take deer. the calibers that are allowed in Indiana will keep the deer heard in check. It has in years past and will for the future.

Allow the 30-30! Most hunters hunt from elevated tree stands and that caliber does not travel as far as many new muzzleloader calibers
