The committee officially pulled the proposal and decided against increasing these ratios. I am honestly stunned by this result because it only happened due to the people who took the time to speak up. Please stay alert to ensure these safety standards remain in place for our kids.

Increasing ratios and group sizes while decreasing square footage will expose children to higher risks of communicable diseases, stress, peer aggression, caregiver negativity, and maltreatment. Protect our children by voting "No" to the proposal to increase ratios and group sizes, and decrease square footage.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have joined this effort to protect our children. If you could send the link to a few people today we might actually reach one hundred signatures before the committee meets.

Please say no to Increasing Utah Child Care Ratios. This increase would endanger the health and well being of the children.
Do not increase the number of children each caregiver can take care of. And heavens, don't make the space smaller, where adults and children spend up to 10 hours in a day. Thank you.
THINK ABOUT THE KIDS. They need space and attention. You cant give them either if the rooms are overcrowded and the teachers are burnt out.
Keep the ratios low. Quality care depends on it.
How can one person properly watch that many toddlers at once? Seems dangerous and unfair to the providers too.

My kids daycare is already packed as it is. Adding more kids to a room is just a recipe for disaster and sickness. Leave the rules how they are please.
