Adults should mean adults. And more of it a week wouldn't hurt.

I'd happily welcome 18+ swimming, or younger by way of garentee of parent. Kids should have fun and enjoy the use of pool but if they cannot learn to respect the seriousness of our swim then we need a service which brings with it exclusivity to both parties.
This isn't segregation this is just being fair to those who pay and can't enjoy a peaceful swim.

Having suffered miscarriages, I find it hard to see parents and children in the pool. It would be easier for people like me to have adult only time.

I'd love to go there for an adult only serious swim. I get children need to let off steam but if adult only hours were at adult appropriate time then where's the harm. My girls are at home and doing school work after 7.
I could go and have an hour at the pool knowing that it's exclusively for adult swimmers 17-99 only. Children can go after school and at weekends, evening it should all calm down and adults have the pool to themselves.
There is ladies only. But that excludes men, and public swim
Is just that public, but it is hard to negotiate a decent length or width when there's loads of kids looking for diving weights or throwing buckets and balls and generally getting in the way. This isn't a kids v adults thing it's just about a good and fair balance to provide a service that suits adults and children. I'm all for aldults being with kids and family swim too I'd happily stay away during this time unless I brought my girls, but when I want me time...I want me time there. Am I terrible??

Adults only...YES PLEASE father of three this is my time to escape the fighting and the bickering, only I come for a swim and that's what I'm met with. We take our lads to football and swimming regularly, but wouldn't it be lovely to walk in there of an evening and just see adults swimming.

I feel sorry for the slower swimmers as they can't feel that they have a place. They try to keep up in the lane but then are thwarted in their attempt to swim due to unaccompanied children who get in their way. They think it's funny and that the adult doesn't mind but they do. Fair play to this petition. Well done

Adults only no one under 16 in the pool. I love swimming but I don't like having being a nuisance because of other nuisances. I feel I'm getting on lane swimmers nerves when I don't go as fast as them but then in the remaining pool space I can't swim a full length without a splashing child in the way. How's that fair.

Keeping adults and kids separate is common sense. Last time I went there was a child having swimming instruction - he swam right under me!

I used to swim every morning at dursley pool, but as work commitments changed 6.30am was not early enough to keep this up if they could open at 5.00/5.30am I'm sure many adults would attend

Everyday we could have 7-8 or 8-9 or even 7-9 just adults only no lessons no kids. I understand that kids want to use the pool after all they're kids they need to have fun, but let's not forget everyone that they have inflatable fun time every week, they're more than welcome at public swim everyday. I fully appreciate that there's early risers and public swim daily but that's just not conducive when people are working during those hours. After a hard days work i want to do some lengths undisturbed and mithered...can't get that at dursley.
The whole swim timetable gets turned on its head for school holiday and more provision is made for kids which is fine I suppose better than them hanging about the streets. But it's at the detriment of adults who can't even enjoy one evening of adult only without being bashed, forced out of the way or fearing injury from being jumped on.
Adults only should mean just that. The pulse sadly refuses to listen. I just hope this petition will be heard and acted upon.

There should be adults only swimming after 18.30 as it is a real pain trying to play "dodge the sprog" .I have not been to the pool in years now because of crowds of kids.

Could do with more private showers (not on poolside) never enough showers after swimming, usually gave a long wait!

We need more swim sessions which are just for aldults. I've nothing against kids, being a mother of two, but I like to do things for myself too. I know go for a nice swim...oh wait there's kids everywhere I can't move for them. I'm not a fast enough swimmer to keep up with the lane swimmers but I'm constantly dodging and weaving in the other half of the pool out of kids way, or risk being jumped on or swam into.
I've signed because I think adults only should be that adults only. No kids and no swimming lessons.

Fast and slower lanes please would be a good introduction. Agree more adult swimming pm sessions would be useful.
