We pay way more into this system than we get from it. Our dental coverage is outdated and coverage hasn't kept up with today's costs. How do I know? My long-retired relatives had the same exact plan. No wonder why hard-working dentists don't want to accept it. Stop treating teachers like second-class citizens.

Stop taking away our dental benefits and participating dentists. You’re going to have toothless teachers

I have not been able to find an in-network dentist for our benefits for the last decade. I am very angry that the UFT is sitting on an $800,000,000 surplus and refuses to let us access good dental care.

My dentist dropped our union coverage two years ago. Our out of pocket costs for dental care is extremely and the reimbursement rates to providers is an embarrassment. The UFT needs to better and increase reimbursement rates to the providers in the network.

-Having trouble finding an "in-network" dentist near your zip code?
-Having to wait 3-4 months to book preventative care (e.g. cleaning) dental appointments?
-Have you been having to change to a new dentist every year or two because your dentist has dropped out of the network?
-Unable to schedule cleanings every 3 months because your "in network" provider seems to prefer scheduling appointments with other patients that have insurances with HIGHER REIMBURSEMENT RATES?
IF SO, SIGN THIS PETITION!

Please increase the reimbursements for dentists. They’re not charity workers. Effectively we don’t have dental insurance. We have something fake that kind doctors take until they remember they have to eat too

A shame to have a surplus of Union dues and such inadequate dental coverage.

The dental copayment or paying for what’s not covered is enormous.

We pay enough to have better dental coverage. Our “coverage” barely pays for any of the big price items which is what we really need covered.

These copays are ridiculous. Cavities fillings have cost me hundreds of dollars
