I’ve been an LPN for 26 years and I’m only making $6 more an hour than what CNAs are being hired for. This field requires labor intensive AND intelligent work, we need to be compensated appropriately.

I am a former RN with Timpanogos Regional Hospital. Our nurses were being consistently burned out by the work load, and felt like we were being asked to do too much, and that it wasn’t worth what we were being paid.

Nurses, RT, and techs in the hospital work too hard for the community to be unfairly compensated. Pay should be the same across the division since we all work for the same company in the same area.

Cost of living has sky rocketed and I feel I may need to move to an area with a better pay scale and more amenable cost of living situation.

I love my job most of the time but I hate feeling taken advantage of by administrators. It makes me want to leave the profession unfortunately like so many others.

I have worked at this Hospital for almost seven years. I love it here, and hope to stay here. Unfortunately, the cost of living has far outpaced our pay as nurses. I don't want anything unreasonable or grandiose. A fair wage for the level of education I have attained and the risk I take every day.

I have loved working for HCA for the past 16 years and still have not reached a $10/ hr pay increase in that many years!! This must change.

I have worked full-time for HCA for 41 years. I have seen many changes over the years. But nothing like this past few years. We have had a land slide of nurses leave within the past 2 years. Some for less stressful jobs, but most for higher paying jobs. The turnover has been crazy. In our little unit we had 5 nurses leave within a few months. All went to higher paying jobs.
I sometimes wonder why I stay. But I love my job and my co-workers, so I stay. I stand with others in asking for better pay that fits our demographic and inflation needs.

All Utah hospitals need to get on board with this. If they don't I'm afraid we will lose all of our experienced nurses to other states that value their worth.
