The University of Central Florida is allowing only 2 guests per graduating student for the Spring 2021 graduation ceremony, May 6th-8th.. For the graduating students that come from a background with divorced parents who have both remarried, this poses a difficult situation and can even result in family complications due to “picking and choosing” for example, who gets to attend.
My proposition is to increase the allotted ceremony tickets by 2, creating a total of 4 tickets per student that is participating in the in-person commencement.
Graduation day should be filled with joy and celebration, not graduating students being burdened with a cumbersome decision. Or, even the distress of potentially creating a division between their family or risk the outcome of a fight between family members on their big day.
Please:
Thank you!
We as Knights have the power to do this!
My parents are divorced and this is honestly just a nightmare. I hate feeling like I have to choose between them on my graduation day. Please let us have 4 tickets.
