We are a group of year 13 social studies students who have a passion for Marine reserves in New Zealand. We believe that there is a need for there to be more marine reserves as too many sea creatures are being caught in nets. Please sign our petition to show your support for this cause!
We are spending our time this week researching exactly which coastal areas are most at risk from commercial netting. Send a quick text about this campaign to three of your friends so we can build the momentum we need to reach the decision makers.

Kaitiakitanga does not extends to the seas. NZ made history by having some of the worlds first marine reserves, but not a lot has been done since then. Good initiative, especially with things like the fast-track build, its important to legislatively protect the oceans and the amazing fauna that live there.

Keep going girls!! Our coastlines look so empty compared to when I was a kid. This needs to happen.
