Increase safety along Geyer Rd from Watson Rd. to Big Bend Rd

I think the slower traffic on Geyer is very helpful. I was one of the people who got hit by a speeding car trying to pull out of Orchard Lane.

Keep the stop signs!! MUCH SAFER NOW!

South Geyer has become safer for both pedestrians and drivers since the installation of stop signs.

I strongly support the stop signs on South Geyer for the safety of all...walkers, bikers, drivers.

Safety before convenience

I have seen a much safer environment since the stop signs were put in place. There are many more people walking their kids and dogs due the decrease in Speed. 2 years ago my dog was hit by a speeding driver that didn't even stop. We need to keep these stop signs!

We definitely need to slow folks down along this stretch. More stop signs would be beneficial.

Lets make the change before a child is killed instead of after.

I too am afraid walking on the sidewalk with the current speed limits. If it were reduced it would make te sidewalks safer.

Thank you for caring about the safety of our families. An optimal solution would be a sidewalk along the east side of the road, similar to most of the other streets in Kirkwood.

Please add signals or stop signs to slow traffic on Geyer at Forest Glen to ensure our children are kept safe from cars that are speeding along that road.

Please help us keep our kids safe

We and our two young boys (and our dog) walk and bike ride frequently in the area. Between the absence of sidewalks on the East side of Geyer and the speed at which vehicles travel, crossing the street to take walks or visit friends is both challenging and dangerous. It would be great to have some designated crosswalks, stop signs, and/or sidewalks on the East side of the street to make the area more pedestrian friendly. Currently we will not walk very far up or down S. Geyer from our intersecting street due to the safety risks. Given more protective measures, we would love to get out and walk more and be able to broaden the area that we can access via walking.

I agree traffic and safety is a concern for pedestrians on geyer south of big bend.

I live on Forest Glen and walk 5+ days a week. In order to access the sidewalk, I am required to cross Geyer each time. I can tell you that as an adult, it's scary with how busy it is and how fast cars go through that stretch of Geyer, let alone how scary it would be to cross with children. I hope that this is something that Kirkwood can be proactive in doing instead of being reactive after someone gets hurt.

We have lived at this corner for 20+ years and agree that this is a dangerous intersection. Years ago we had a car end up in our yard but luckily the only casualty was our forsythia bush.

My wife, Kathy and I have lived on Orchard Lane for 36 years. Traffic on north and south Geyer Road has become hazardous because it is an unmonitored speedway getting to Meramec C.C. in the a.m and 44 in the p.m. Dick Drummond

We have lived at South Geyer for 23 years and wish there some type of crossing light .
