yes I totally agree and also for some of us that likes to eat more healthier ends up paying a little more on groceries, plus having a roof over our heads and keeping our vehicle on the road. I would say $2000 monthly will defiantly help us with all of our expenses.

ite been years sense there been a AISh increase i only ended up on AISh becaus ei was hit by a city bus in 1993 that did alot of damage to my body if it wasnt for that i could of been working

It has been several years since there has been a raise. Despite increased government funding to the program, recipients themselves are not receiving any more money!

It is very hard on ones self to have no dignity, people dismissing you and even discriminating against you because you are poor and on disability. Poor nutrition, lack of proper housing, medication and medical equipment that is needed but not covered, acquit transportation that is not covered, all contribute to making a disabled person sicker. Someone on disability that still might be able to work part time and be able to contribute to there country is much more beneficial but how can they get back to that after such hardships? So much stress added to an already stressful situation. Family's should get more that n extra 100.00 per person. How are you supposed to support that extra person when they would need more than that just in food, especially a child? Things have to change, people are getting sicker. We need help.

It’s hard to feel like a valued member of society while living below the poverty line. Everyday I sink further into debt.

I am on AISH and my husband has been struggling to find a job since December. We don't have enough to live on and no one seems to even care.

It has been to long since aish was increased, food medications and rent are on the rise . Most people basically pay rent and have no money for food and honestly the food bank ain’t an opinion only giving enough food for about 2 days people on aish need to feel stability no having to choose between things aish is sapose to be there to help and not make clients worry or be homeless increase aish !
