Been on AISH since feb 2004 even with rent suppliment from capital region housing. I do not make enough to feed myself. If not for a roommate who splits my rent ( both of us on Aish ) we be homeless if we lived separately and I’m wheelchair bound outside the home fix this 97$ proposed increase is helpful but not enough

I totally agree I get 1688 a month because I have a child and I am Scrounging Around every month to make sure I have enough for everything and that includes me telling my kid no a lot because we can’t afford it we don’t have the money like $100 extra for a kid is nothing that don’t even cover how muchmy kid eats in a month his school fees alon is over $300 it would be nice to be able to pay all my bill and have enough for the rest of the month so I can say yes to my kid not be in so much Det

Like to see an increase to atleast 2500 which is less than the case study done in the uk for a free living wage

Everything else went up . How are we suppose to live on what we are getting when Aish didn't go up?

Yes should be raised cost of living has gone up and when married they get less depending on spouse income that should go up as well

Today’s increase amount is a drop in the bucket, I am lucky to earn the capital regional housing subsidy, and as a result of not being able to pay my bills I have to still look for work. The government should try to live on what I earn. It is extremely difficult

With prices of the rise with utilities and rent they need this to get by monthly

I am on aish and 1,588 a month isn’t enough to make it through month to month, paying bills, etc. We are under paid from the government and barely making it through.

I'm tired of juggling bills and having to decide between power and phone or food, and then still not have enough for food until the end of the month.

i feel very strongly about this subject, i hurts my heart that i can no longer work and make my own money. with a wife and two children to raise, i fell like less of a man, person, and just a good human being that can take care of his family and give them things they need . $1000.00 per month would be a good start, with rising inflation and COST OF LIVING going up every single year i feel like the people of AISH are being forgotten. and that is a soul crushing feeling! keep the money coming to us! after all, AISH is supposed to stand for ASSURED INCOME FOR THE SEVERELY HANDICAPPED !! We were either born with our disabilities or we were stuck with them at some point in our lives through no fault of our own and we deserve to live better lives than this! I paid my taxes for 30 years of my life as a working capable person until i became severely disabled, and this is all i get?! my country and province should take better care of all of us!
