Have been on AISH for a little over a year, and true enough, I'm knocking on the door of homelessness! The fear of choosing and bartering for food, utilities and rent is unwarranted! I'm not dissing the government for my funding, however I think a dose of reality, reason and compassion are due from our elected officials in dealing with people with severe handicaps!

8 yrs is a long with no increase. Gov'ts can't go 6 months without increases across the board. Taxes and fed & prov gov't spending out of control. You neglect everyone....this is the first time I've seen a post to help AISH recipients.

Really do need to increase with increases in rent and food it's hard one to survive off what they make a month . Would like to see an increase for sure.

Being on Aish is difficult making ends meet, some months I have to choose bills over food and bus money to make ends meet. It sad that we have to choose to not eat or pay to ride the bus so we can make sure bills and rent are paid. An increase would give us back some security and faith that every month is not rough.

I'm on AISH , my kidneys failed so I couldn't work due to having to be on dialysis. Can barely afford to live close to the hospital or even rent a suitable room in a safe location. AISH helps somewhat but I've been homeless living in my car because it's just not enough to make rent anywhere , buy food and the Ned's that aren't covered. And aside from that the other products- stuff for your period, etc. I also have celiac disease and that food isn't cheap. This is ridiculous when you're going through something so serious.

Groceries have gone up in price. Living expenses have gone up over the years. My meds aren't covered because they are new out and very expensive. Im thankful for aish because of the help. I wouldnt have been able to have a roof over my head. But with living expenses im scared of loosing my place and being on the street. Money doesn't go as far as it us to

Should be raised due to the fact 1588 isnt enough to survive on at all im on aish n barley survive n jobs are very scarce right now

I have a friend who lives of aish. She barely gets by with what she gets as her rent. And I always seem to lend him money.

I live in a house that should be condemned. I stay because of No stairs and I can drive my scooter in door way. Please give increase Every time you increase minimum wage. That is barely enough. But better

I believe that AISH should be increased because monthly bills are only going higher rent is extremely expensive. Things are getting cheaper there getting more expensive. And it's hard to live off of 1588.
