AISH needs to be raised. I can't live on my own on $1,588. The cost of living is much higher now than it was when they last raised it. I also think that AISH should take in to consideration the fact that I can't live with the one man who accepts me for all my flaws and who loves me for me because I can't afford to lose any of my income..

I have 2 kids and can barely feed them, and go without my medication a couple days each month...my kids deserve better from our government, we put enough into it that no child should suffer in Canada.

I am new to aish and am sick at least half the month. Stress is the one thing my liver doctor demands I stay away from but paying bills is very stressful

I'm a 60 year old Senior and am on CPP disability and Aish. I'm struggling to even think of making it through the month. Alberta has been a challenge to say the least. Changes to the landlord tenant act and monies for housing for people who want to have their rents subsidized.
Also even thinking of getting a job requires the compassion and understanding of an employer.

I live in a small rural town. I own my home and make mortgage payments as well as insurance and taxes, all of which combined are lower then I would pay for rent. $1588 doesn't hardly cover utilities. I have no satellite TV. And no home phone. My son pays for Internet for me so that I am not completely cut off from the world. A cost of living increase is long past due.

I would like to see our AISH benifits increase. With everything going up including utilities, grocery, gas, and added more taxes. There is NO way we can live. It is other heat our place OR eat.
