INCREASE OUR AISH

I struggled so much with just living in 2012. I couldn't even rent my own apartment. I was extremely mentally unstable with numerous suicide attempts. The raise in aish improved my life. Now it is not enough to live normally or to live in a good safe home or even be successful. I think aish recipients should get an significant increase son they are given a chance to live normal lives. Instead of being stuck in being mentally unstable and not able to thrive. I don't even have dreams of getting married or having kids or owning a home or getting a good paying job. I think aish deserves more help than those who are just low income and take from the government. Even Justin Trudeaus mother is bipolar. Please change this. I can barely live and I constantly have to move. Causing unstable mental health and recline in any successes. I was born this way. Its not like I chose it. I can live s successful life too. I can influence people. We just need financial help and other supports. Thank you.

I agree that aish should go up. Even when we try to get a job we should be able to earn more then 800 a month

The rules need to change. Either raise AISH and the working allowance or give me a job I can do.

when you sit back and watch minimal wage and other places get increases and yet we are stuck with the same amount, it feels like we are being told we don't deserve anything. I have a family and what I get sure doesn't go far and the doctor put me on Aish due to my illness not allowing me to hold stable work even.

Just had open heart surgery in Sept 2017, trying to get through the maze of stupidity, hurdles, and lack of support to apply for aish. I'm 60 soon turning 61, wishing that I can converse with people already on this depressing system. Thank you.

I agree very much so that aish should be way more, especially should be more than refugees should get.

We need an increase for AISH badly!! We are losing our housing and starving, we cannot keep up with all the increasing costs of food, utilities, gas and TAXES. When is this going to happen??? The government should be taking care of the VETS, DISABLED, SENIORS and NO ONE should be homeless Before any refugees, immigrants or Terrorists. What is wrong with this government????

With minimum wage going up so will the cost of living therefore I believe a financial increase is necessary to keep up with the cost of living

It's outrageous that people living on AISH, with no choices have to take work just to get by. Most of us can't work even PT and while it's nice to have that option it's not feasible for most people. Not to mention there are few PT jobs available for the disabled. Rent on average is not 750, on average it's about 9-1100 for a one bedroom, at least. It should be 2000$ a month with the same option to earn an extra 800 and we should still have access to Capital Housing. Being disabled shouldn't mean you have no future. I went to University and it damn near killed me and all that hard work lead to me becoming seriously ill. I have no future and I am constantly afraid.

AISH payments are not enough. It is below poverty line. It needs to be increased to match inflation.
