I've had medical problems and mental health issues since I was 12 years old. I am now 30 and the last 10 years of my life I have spent 75 percent or more of the time physically and mentally ill to a degree that I am in no way capable of working. They made me fight for aish and beg and beg and beg for 10 years straight. In a society where rent is typically around a grand a month how is a person supposed to afford to live on 1588 a month ? In my opinion attrition is murder and I can't believe this is Canada... I can't believe people can leave people in a ditch to die like this .... it's completely unacceptable..... I pray for us all ....

1588 dose not go far enough these day sorry so yes i do agree that we need a increase on the aish benefits

I'm in the same boat along with many others, we are sadly left to suffer. It doesn't make sense. I call MLA to make formal complaints as Social services hands are tied. Eventually they have to break and make a change somewhere.

Yes I agree that AISH needs to be increased, perhaps based on each persons individuals need. There is no decent, affordable living accommodations for single people in Edmonton, as landlords are only money driven and the overflow of refugees in the city is increasing the poverty level. Why are we not taking care of our own citizens in this city? I say that each person's case be looked at carefully and if they need an increase than that person deserves the support.

Aish needs to be increased it is not possible for the people that are on aish to live on 1588.00 the employeement wages have increased to 15 an hour and this is unfair to those people that are on aish

I am on aish because of a bad accident i had over 5 years ago and it cuased two strokes. Which left alot of limited movement movement on my left side i own a trailer in edson alberta have a car and it is very tough too scrape by and have everything i need for a month almost impossible on the amount i we get.

Raise AISH above minimum wage, 40 hour work week. for the next 4 years or beyond. To at least 2100.00 per month. Most will be able to manage well in today's climate. Because of rents being what they are it is suppose to be for quality of life. Not living in extreme emergency and fear of being homeless and not being able to pay bills. The average grocery bill alone if you shop well is 120 to 200 per month.

Just unbelievable ! They just don't even no before they, them self or a family member gets a disability and needs help from the system.Helping people in other countries and can even help our own citizens.Can never get someone on the phone just a machine what's more sick they say they have 2or3 days to return your call.They got one fax machine for all case worker working there ! Unbelievable ! And the minister said that they did some changes to improve the system. Iol They need to start from scratch. Lost my job and fell on U.I. and they cut my wife's cheque in half ! Yes in half ! I'm getting less per mont and she get half. I just don't get it ! I'm in disbelieve.

no one can live on that amount it impossible too live on that much,, my dad from vancouver b.c. told me that,, after paying bills i only have 100. for food like come on someone raise the amount we should not be treaded like this this is unfair
