decreasing Aish would put already low income Albertan's further behind and put strain on Canada's economy a better solution would be to continue raising Aish but get other province's to help pick up Alberta's debt.

Rent is $1150, renters insurance, not including utilities $100, you also need s cell phone $100 and internet $80 to live now. Need to buy groceries and medications that aren’t covered. I drive so I have car insurance and gas, maintenance.
I’m single, have a service dog, my dog has medication and special food from the vet as she has health problems. Everything financially adds up fast.

There is not a week that goes by in my life that I do not think of suicide. I used to be a very hard-working man and on a I know you are allowed to make a certain amount of money but I am not able to work at all my Ace Check it's five hundred and some dollars at months because I get Canada pension disability so it takes off dollar-for-dollar and I know there are people on Aish that should not be on Aish so it end up hurting the people who really needs it, and to top it off those people they don't even have a part-time job because they are too lazy, come on Canada wake up and smell the coffee. Aish take off Canadian American dollar for dollar from my Canada pension which I understand but for some people that are not able to work at all they should leave a few dollars on, I consider myself now poor white trash. Refugees comes to our country illegally and they get more money didn't I do and I paid taxes for well over 30 years and high taxes I worked in the oilfield basically my whole life moving oil rigs and I do appreciate what I do get, but they could definitely be doing more for us and veterans without a doubt.

Aish is so behind the times when it comes to paying benefits to disabled Albertans. We need to have an increase to help cover the basics (food, clothes and shelter)

Living with the stress of below the poverty line reduces disabled people even further. Not being able to hold an asset above 3K is ridiculous when I worked my entire life for a pension. I did not ask for the health my body provides.

I am disgusted by the RACISM posted in this group referring to refugees. I Am on disability myself, born here in Canada, and have parents that were refugees. You imagine running away from war, seeing death , losing everything and have to leave everyone. They had help for one year and after that never lived off and help whatsoever, started their own business and became engineer and accountant. and had 5 kids, and pay taxes. THE VERY SAME TAXES THAT GO TO DISABILITY!!. As a Disabiled person myself now, this post infurates me as you are just demonizing another vulerable group (many whom have experienced racism in canada and even attacks) THIS POST IS RACIST AF! Imagine if people were asking the government for money complaining why do disabled people get money. YOU ARE SICK WHO POSTED THAT!!!

We did not ask to be sick, injured, or born with issues. We did not ask to be treated differently. We do not want to depend on people for help when we cannot pay for something. I feel like we are being punished for being the way we are. I live like that everyday of my life. Worrying about paying bills. Worrying about if I will have shelter or food next month. I am tired of the emotional and mental tournent I go through every day. It depresses me.
