It’s insane to comprehend we currently only have 2 fire fighters at times entering burning buildings and expect them to be able to help others, let alone be able to save themselves if something were to happen. Don’t be cheap, you have the money. Do the right thing and invest in our community services.

I wholeheartedly beleive our taxes should be paying salaries of professional firefighters. I applaud voluntering, but these careers existed for a reason. If the people in charge of townships, can afford to drive around in 80k vehicles, and live in hald a million dolalr homes, then we can damn sure afford more firefighters. Furthermore, some of us wante dto do this our entire lives. Only to age, and discover that there was no opportunity for us. Because some politician, decided if he cut back funding for firehouses, then he could pocket more cash himself. Hire more firefighters. There is no excuse that any fire houses are understaffed.

NFPA minimum staffing helps ensure firefighter safety and allows firefighters to more quickly extinguish fires or effect a rescue. Proper staffing is not only firefighter safety but increases citizen safety. Up staffing to at least 3 firefighter per apparatus is absolutely a must!
