Petition to the Education Secretary, to Reflect True English History by Including Black Tudors in the National Curriculum

you just need to include black history as whole it is very rich yet incredibly undervalued. The slave trade went on for hundreds of years and unlike some areas of history we are still dealing with the consequences of it today

Simply, Let the Truth be told. It is the only way to liberate the minds of not only Afrikans, but also all those who are Ignorant about the History and Power of the Mother and Father Parents of Humanity thus creators of All civilisation.

It is important that an accurate version of history is present to young people and adults alike so it can do away with ignorance of self and others. Not only is it important to black students but also whites alike, for understanding and appreciating the efforts of all those who have contributed to their present wellbeing. Leaving aspects out of history is at best a dishonest endeavour not reconcilable with the purported values of democracy and equal rights for all.

It is important that history is taught to all children and even more importantly that children of Black African decent are aware of the history of their ancestors. That goes much further than slavery.

A true reflection of the true history taught in the national curriculum to our children what ever their background is essential for progression . Knowledge will empower our children to succeed .

Its 2014 and the US has a black president, yet the UK still struggles to acknowledge its whole history!!

Long overdue!

I feel there are many parts of english history that has been influenced or effected by non caucasian

History should be represented truthfully and properly. This is the change we need!

I am nothing but pleased to see such innovative change. As a young working mother I worry about the academic structure. My son is one has major interest in English literature which has been nurtured from home study. Many mothers are unable to fully commit to home study due to the financial pressures of life. I hope all comes to pass as this is needed not only for the children of Afro/Carribean decent, but for the European children too. They too need to know who we Africans were as it will shape the social structure within the classrooms to a more positive institution.

Our Children need to have their roots embedded in their History that does not speak of Slavery but of Phenomenal Wisdom, Knowledge, Grandeur, Honour, Glory, Wealth, Peace and Love
