Petition to the Education Secretary, to Reflect True English History by Including Black Tudors in the National Curriculum

This is part of British History so it should not be excluded from the curriculum.

We need a curriculum which is reflective of the wider society.People should know the history of their ancestors both English, African & European.

So important that our children are exposed to history that reflects the breadth of humanity, rather than the selective eurocentric version currently in place.

I known its time to incorporate the truth in history, it will make a better society.

It's your (the government's) responsibility to ensure that children received a balanced and fair view of the world. This can only be ensured through ensuring that historical facts are not hijacked by the powers that be who make every effort to ensure that they tell history from their perspective. This creates major distortions in the minds of the young. I can only summise the reason why distored information is expressed so openly and confidently, and that is to ensure white supremacists activities and behaviours continue to control the minds of the young - and unwittingly so.

The whole truth should be taught not in part!

I strongly believe that if history is to be taught in our schools, then let it be the whole truth. Good bad or ugly as it may seem. Because only with all the information can have informed opinion.

We need our own to educate our own and shape the future.

I am in full agreement with this petition. We need a balanced curriculum that reflects the diversity of cultures in our community. Without this our children will grow with identity issues and lacking self esteem and confidence. A tree without its roots will die.

By omitting parts of history, it is ignorance that is being promoted and this cannot bode well for all...we need accuracy and comprehensive record-keeping, not politicised agendas!

I think this is a really got idea to educate our young black people about black history about time too

So much has been done to persecute and denigrate Africans that I feel every opportunity ti correct and realise the african prescence should be taken

It really is past due, our place in history besides slavery needs to be told and not just to our children.

It's only right and fair that our children get to learn and understand that Black African history did not begin and end with slavery .

Definately, let the truth be told.
