Against exclusion of Combined Events from the UK Athletics Championships

We've got some great Decathletes coming through

We want our youngsters to be multi eventers so why are we taking this out?. It really does not make sense!

You really believe that this is a good idea and inclusive for our sport?

In 2023 we should be promoting combined events more than ever but instead they are taking it out of UK champs ? Think what this is going to do for the sport long term from the combined events background

This cannot happen

Performing at the british champs as a decathlete was the first time a lot of my family and friends understood what I’ve been doing for the last 10 years, it was brilliant. The fact that it has been taken away is devastating and pushes multi-eventers back in to the shadows. Notice must be given to allow athletes to plan their season and target ranking points

This decision is rediculous, combined events have been a part of athletics as long as I can remember.

Unacceptable that multi eventers are treated as though their event is less important than others

Further evidence of the failed leadership in our sport.

Long-term UK success in combined events deserves to be recognised by inclusion in UK Championships.

If the combined events are being removed the 100m and 200m should be too

British multi eventers have been treated as an afterthought for years, they deserve better considering our history in both events

We need to showcase our multi events - look at how much success we’ve had in these events!!

These athletes work so hard, don't deprive them of their moment of recognition.

Absolutely appalling, another cost cutting exercise. Multi eventers being treated as second class citizens again.

Disrespectful of one of the more successful UKA performance programmes.

As a former Heptathlete myself this needs addressing

Athletics seems to be reducing to track events only. Field events and multi events should be equally supported. Too much focus is on running events generally

Multi events athletes have also been a lifeblood to many league clubs and consistently do well in major Masters events.
