Against exclusion of Combined Events from the UK Athletics Championships

Should be included

As the mother of a u20 combined eventer, I see the hard work and dedication involved but also the incredible physical and mental health benefits. She loves it. However she is sadly fully aware of the lack of support by UKA and feels demoralised by it. What a shame they are so complacent about one of their biggest assets.

This exclusion is quite shocking

Equality of events and discouragement of exercise and competing.

It’s a very sad situation. People responsible should hold their heads in shame.

Some of the UKs greatest successes have been in combined events. I remember Mary Peters, then Daley Thompson both capturing the public. So why not encourage more?

Denying hard working, committed and talented athletes opportunities to gain ranking points is unforgivably unfair.

Combined events should definitely remain, why have you removed it?

The success of competitions such as Gotzis, Multistars etc should be used as a template to not only enhance UK combined events but to generate revenue unlike loss making London diamond league meets

All athletes should have a chance to compete for their country, no event is better than any other.

So wrong ebery athlete deserves to compete at the British championships

No brainer that combined events should be included like any other event!!!

Stop denying athletes their opportunities to compete

Combined Events athletes and coaches are being treated as the second class citizens of athletics and deserve much better

This is penalising exceptionally talented athletes, who train so very hard in multi events.

EA CE champs combined with individual champs in 2024, squeezing comps into a shorter period and removing competition opportunity for those athletes that have a strong individual event.
