How many people alive today were ever slaves in America? Oh wait, 0. That was 150 years ago. No one alive is or has ever been a slave on american soil. The beautiful thing about America is that unlike other places in the world, what our parents do doesn't define who we are. What happens to my ancestors doesn't make give me certain passes. Every individual is given their shot in the world. So we should not pay reparations to descendants of the people who were wronged. The most we can do not is apologize for the wrongs that were forced upon the unfortunate slaves. However the idea of reparations is deceitful, wrong, unamerican, and will never happen
