In Support of Rabbi Joseph Dweck

I support Rabbi Dweck who is trying to include people in Judaism not exclude them from Judaism. I do not believe the campaign and the vilification against him is "leshem shamayim"

Am a part of Chicago Jewish community. Have been following this issue, and I'm proud to support Rabbi Dweck

Rabbi Dweck is wonderful, and even greater for his preparedness to tackle relevant, difficult issues with honesty and integrity. Threats and intimidation will not make those issues go away, but they show the growing desperation and the increasing moral bankruptcy of the people who make them.

The speech Rabbi Dweck gave on homosexuality was sensitive and expansive. The critiques of him are quite the opposite and pretty much represent everything that is wrong with the current state of right wing orthodox Judaism.

How sad that orthodoxy cannot discuss the challenges of our day.Rabbi Dwek chose to be part of the solution, his attackers are just part of the problem.

Kol hakavod to Rabbi Dweck for choosing to talk about the challenges Modern Orthodoxy faces instead of ignoring them. His attackers should be ashamed of themselves.

Because I don't believe in witch hunts.

Rabbi Dweck is one of the most inspiring I have ever encountered. As an Orthodox Jew it it is a privilege to have him running one of our orthodox Shuls in London. I am really saddened and upset to see the drama unravelling around Rabbi Dweck, a truly great rabbi and great man. It would be unforgivable to ask him to step down from his position and try to remove him from the orthodox community. I hope common sense and rabbi Mervis at last put this story behind us and let rabbi Dweck continue to bless and inspire the orthodox community and beyond

Please don't give up or give in Rabbi Dwek. I wish Rabbis would stop being do divisive and instead be supportive to each other and actually recognise the wider orthodox community and its needs. Wishing you all the best.

Appalled at this distinguished Rabbinic figure being bullied by cleric's whose interpretations hold no more weight than his.

I think the zchuyot that brave Rabbi Dwecked earned for opening this can so fully will greatly help Moshiach come and I pray this proceeds with gentle discussion and not evil machlokes. This was chesed.

This has gone too far.

Why people feel the need to try and destroy you and shame you publicly raises more questions than it purports to answer. You are a confident man who is highly articulate and thoughtful and i feel most of your critics don't understand your shuir. It's a great pity that the community feels so insecure they have to publicly shame you which is not a great way to lead by example. I wonder how many of your critics have behaved inappropriately?jumping on you is akin to standing on the head of a drowning man in order to feel taller. Everyone loses. A sorry tale of judgment and condemnation which is actually Ironically what you say in your inspiring thought provoking talk.

I totally support Rabbi Dweck and his attempt to engage with the youth. Without this we will have no community. Those who have been vilifying him are doing so for personal reasons or because they live in the past

As a member of a Sephardic congregation in Canada, I support Rabbi Dweck. People should hear what he said and not what they think he said and scrutinise his sources and subsequent explanation. Irrational moral outbursts will only distance people from Orthodox Judaism. We should prize the openness, matter-of-factness, pragmatism and tolerance that until not long ago was a hallmark of Sephardic Judaism.

I give my full support to Rabbi Dweck who is an inspirational leader and a breath of fresh air for the orthodox community.
